Football Recap: North Summit Gets the Win

North Summit posted their closest win since September 27, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 22-19 victory over the Parowan Rams. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Parowan lost, don't look at Hunter Bettridge. Despite the final result, he rushed for 144 yards while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 90 yards and one touchdown. Bettridge showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 50 yards. Tyrel Vest also helped with two TDs in total.

The win got North Summit back to even at 2-2. As for Parowan, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, North Summit will square off against Kanab at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves will need to watch out since the Cowboys have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Parowan, they will face off against Gunnison Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
