After flying high against the Countryside Christian Minutemen on Thursday, the Branford Buccaneers came back down to earth. Branford took a hard 61-47 fall against Lafayette on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Branford has scored all season.
Amarie Fleming was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds for Lafayette. The game was Fleming's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Tywan Williamson was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Branford's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for Lafayette, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Branford and Trenton will face off at 8:00 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Trenton is ranked 400th, while Branford is ranked 389th).
