Northside is a perfect 4-0 against Harrold since March of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Indians will welcome the Hornets at 5:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Northside sitting on three straight wins and Harrold on seven.
Northside let Roby stack five runs on them in the second inning back in March but luckily Northside prevailed anyway. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Lions 10-8. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by exactly two runs.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Harrold and Non Varsity Opponent have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Hornets came out on top against Non Varsity Opponent by a score of 10-5.
Tripp Tamplen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Harrold got a massive performance out of Jayden Gray, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The Hornets are undefeated when Gray posts two or more stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise. Jaxon Parker was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Harrold always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Harrold's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Northside, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Northside got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Harrold by a conclusive 17-3 score. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
