The Fighting Irish will be taking part in a tournament against the Dragons at 5:00 p.m. Notre Dame will be strutting in after a win while Cameron will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Notre Dame turned things around against Valley on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Lumberjacks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Fighting Irish have posted since October 6th.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (99-96) Notre Dame actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 14-25, 25-20, 15-25, 17-15.

Notre Dame's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophie Gum, who had 34 digs, 11 kills, ten aces, and seven blocks. Those 34 digs gave Gum a new career-high. Piper Fryer was another key player, getting 42 digs and four aces.
Meanwhile, Cameron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to St. Marys.
Cameron may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.
Cameron's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 9-19.
Notre Dame couldn't quite get it done against Cameron in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Fighting Irish avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
