After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northern Guilford, the Glenn Bobcats were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 44-35 win over Eastern Guilford. Given Glenn's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Eastern Guilford is ranked 556th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Artrell Napper, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Zyire Murphy, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Glenn now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Eastern Guilford, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenn is on the road again on Friday and play against Ragsdale at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Ragsdale has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three matches. As for Eastern Guilford, they will head out on the road to face off against Walkertown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walkertown will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
