The Stryker Panthers lost against the Ayersville Pilots back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Stryker took a 37-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ayersville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stryker in their matchups with Ayersville: they've now lost four in a row.
Ayersville had a senior duo take command as Ally Schindler scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals and Taylor Craft scored six points along with ten rebounds and five blocks. Schindler is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendra Waldron, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Stryker now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Ayersville, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-1.
Stryker will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Tinora at 7:00 p.m. Tinorapresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stryker in Ohio (Tinora is ranked 246th, while Stryker is ranked 525th). Ayersville is on the road again on Tuesday and plays Continental at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Ayersville is facing Continental at the right time seeing as Continental is stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
