The Nardin Academy Gators and the Starpoint Spartans will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Nardin Academy is hoping to put an end to a 14-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, things could have been worse for Nardin Academy, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 67-48 loss to Lewiston-Porter.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Lily Saleh, who scored ten points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. Emily Gorman was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Starpoint humbled West Seneca West with a 56-27 victory. With Starpoint ahead 29-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Nardin Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Starpoint, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Nardin Academy beat Starpoint 47-36 in their previous matchup back in December of 2016. Will Nardin Academy repeat their success, or does Starpoint have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
