It was a good run, but The Huron Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 35-7 loss at the hands of Edison. Huron was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Edison apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Cody Scroggins threw for 122 yards and a touchdown. Owen Cantu was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Andrew Delaney rushed for 88 yards.
Edison was led to victory by Marcus Medina and Cyrus Finnen. Medina rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Finnen rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns. Medina was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Huron's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Edison, their victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Huron will take on Genoa Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Edison, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Spencerville at 7:00 p.m. Spencerville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while Edison is ranked 78th).
