The Southwest Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Orrick Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Southwest focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Southwest was beaten by Sweet Springs 67-26. Southwest has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Garrett Larson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Meanwhile, Orrick pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 72-60 to Northland Christian.
The losses dropped Southwest to 0-2 and Sweet Springs to 1-1.
Southwest lost to Orrick on the road by a decisive 58-43 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Southwest avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
