The Wilmington Hurricane will head out on the road to face off against the Hillsboro Indians at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Wilmington suffered a rough 66-43 loss at the hands of Goshen. Wilmington was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.
Meanwhile, Hillsboro was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 44-38 to McClain.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kyra Boyd, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Tylee Davis, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Wilmington's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9. As for Hillsboro, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Wilmington barely slipped by Hillsboro in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 39-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wilmington since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
