NCSSM: Morganton will head out on the road to square off against the Rosman Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. NCSSM: Morganton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last 16 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
On Friday, NCSSM: Morganton had to suffer through a rough 72-13 loss at the hands of Draughn. NCSSM: Morganton has not had much luck with Draughn recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Rosman can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Mitchell 59-39. The victory was familiar territory for Rosman who now have five in a row.
Rosman relied on the efforts of Lexi Powell (sykes), who scored 16 points, and Alissa Cheek, who scored 18 points.
NCSSM: Morganton's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.7 points per game. As for Rosman, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
NCSSM: Morganton took a serious blow against Rosman when the teams last played last Wednesday, falling 69-13. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point NCSSM: Morganton was down 32-6.
