The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chesterfield in their matchups with North Central: they've now lost three in a row.
North Central was led to victory by Dylan Smith and Ethan Diles. Smith dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds, while Diles scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Diles hasn't dropped below two steals for 16 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahleel Gaines, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Chesterfield has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season. As for North Central, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Chesterfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Buford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Central is facing Buford at the right time seeing as Buford is stuck on a 21-game losing streak.
