The Springfield Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Napoleon. The matchup was a 34-34 toss-up at halftime, but Springfield was outscored by Napoleon in the second.
Springfield's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Adams, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Nate Pope was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Springfield bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Napoleon, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield will challenge Bowsher at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Napoleon's road trip will continue as they head out to face Southview at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th.
