The Golden Valley Bulldogs entered their tilt with the McLane Highlanders with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Golden Valley came out on top against McLane by a score of 35-28 on Friday.
Dominick ?Tre? Thompson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 388 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. ?Tre? Thompson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 95-yard run. Nate Abbott also helped out as he racked up 116 rushing yards.
Golden Valley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.4 points per game. As for McLane, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.
Golden Valley will head out on the road to face off against Shafter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shafter is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. McLane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
