The Alonso Ravens will be playing in front of their home fans against the Armwood Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alonso comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Alonso had to suffer through a rough 69-20 loss at the hands of Robinson. Alonso was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.
Despite the loss, Alonso saw an underclassman step up: Aliya Hannah scored 10 points. Hannah scored a full 50% of Alonso's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Willamina Most, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, everything went Armwood's way against Lennard on Wednesday as Armwood made off with a 61-36 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Armwood.
Alonso's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Armwood, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Alonso might still be hurting after the 54-33 loss they got from Armwood when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Alonso avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
