The Savannah Christian Raiders had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They enjoyed a cozy 68-50 victory over The Habersham School on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Savannah Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2021.
The Habersham School's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carter Britt, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniil Phillips, who scored 12 points.
Savannah Christian's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for The Habersham School, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Savannah Christian will face off against Fellowship Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for The Habersham School, they will head out on the road to face off against Savannah Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
