The Duluth Wildcats fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They enjoyed a cozy 58-39 victory over Berkmar on Thursday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Duluth has managed all season.
Duluth found their leader in underclassman Saniya Johnson, who scored 22 points along with three steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaylie Zirger, who scored 14 points.
Duluth's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for Berkmar, they are on a 21-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-23.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Discovery the next time they take the court. Duluth will host the Titans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Patriots will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
