The WISH Academy Owls had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victor by a 65-45 margin over Maywood CES. WISH Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.
WISH Academy was led to victory by Noah Tureaud and Keith Hartman. Tureaud scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Hartman scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Hartman posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Caizaiah Williams, who scored six points along with three steals.
WISH Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Maywood CES, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-20.
WISH Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wilson at 7:00 p.m. WISH Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Wilson surely won't give up without a fight. Maywood CES does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
