The Pleasanton Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They fell 68-59 to Crystal City. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crystal City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eli Mata, who scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Rousseau, who scored 15 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists.
Pleasanton has fallen quite a ways from their 31-7 record last season and are now at 1-8. As for Crystal City, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Pleasanton will be playing at home against Jourdanton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jourdanton and Pleasanton are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Crystal City's road trip will continue as they head out to face Winn at 6:30 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Winn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Saturday.
