They breezed by Emporia at home to the tune of 56-13. The result was nothing new for Blue Valley Southwest, who have now won six matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Blue Valley Southwest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dylan Dunn led the charge by throwing for 281 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Dunn hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Angelo Keuwo, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns.
Blue Valley Southwest's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Emporia, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Blue Valley Southwest will face off against Lansing at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lansing will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Blue Valley Southwest is ranked second). Emporia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
