Baseball Recap: Valencia Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Valencia's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Highland Hornets. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Jaguars considering their one-run performance the game before.

Brady Hoefler and Zayden Chiwewe did most of the damage at the plate: Hoefler went 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Chiwewe got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave Hoefler a new career-high. Rudy Chavez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Valencia's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-14. As for Highland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.
