Perry and Mount Morris are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Perry Yellowjackets will head out on the road to take on the Mount Morris Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mount Morris took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Perry, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, everything went Perry's way against Keshequa as Perry made off with a 61-35 victory. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Perry has managed all season.
Meanwhile, Mount Morris pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter. Mount Morris has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mount Morris might have lost, but man, Aidan Stanley was a machine: he scored 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stanley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Hightower, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Perry is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record this season. As for Mount Morris, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
Perry came up short against Mount Morris in their previous meeting back in January, falling 71-59. Can Perry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
