If the Burke County Bears were feeling good off their 70-43 takedown of the Stockbridge Tigers on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Burke County fell to Cross Creek 63-59. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Burke County in their matchups with Cross Creek: they've now lost nine in a row.

Burke County will be playing at home against South Effingham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Effingham knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Burke County likes a good challenge. Cross Creek's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rock Creek Christian Academy White at 3:00 p.m. on December 9th. Rock Creek Christian Academy White presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cross Creek in their respective states (Rock Creek Christian Academy White is ranked tenth in Maryland, while Cross Creek is ranked 82nd in Georgia).
