The Mechanicsburg Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 49-36 to Southeastern Local. If Mechanicsburg hoped to take revenge for the 36-33 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Mechanicsburg lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lane Poland, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Keegan Freeze, who scored ten points.
Mechanicsburg's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-10. As for Southeastern Local, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will take on Cedarville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedarville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mechanicsburg in Ohio (Cedarville is ranked 302nd, while Mechanicsburg is ranked 798th). As for Southeastern Local, they will head out on the road to face off against West Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
