Issac Day Drops League-Best Performance on Friday
Starting off the list is West Tallahatchie's Issac Day, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Day rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. His longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.
The win was the third in a row for West Tallahatchie, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Day and West Tallahatchie will challenge Simmons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tristian Hill Makes It Two for West Tallahatchie
Keeping Day company is Tristian Hill, a fellow West Tallahatchie player. He wasn't messing around on Friday, rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The matchup was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run.
For the season, Hill has averaged 117.2 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he had seven rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 18.

Dekevion Miller Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, South Delta got the W thanks in part to Dekevion Miller playing the best football he has all season. Miller rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
If history really does repeat itself, Miller might just drop another big game when he faces off against West Bolivar on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Miller saw the Eagles), he rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards.

Powell Came Up Big in South Delta's 26-0 Win
Another South Delta player making an appearance on this list is Marvin Powell. He rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards.
On the year, Powell has averaged 57.7 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 50.86 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 107.57 rushing yards.

Demario Conner put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He rushed for 43 yards.
For the season, Conner has averaged 32.4 rushing yards per game.
