The team also got some help courtesy of  Kennedi Williams, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 South Cobb was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .579. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in September of 2023.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask New Manchester). They blew past Lithia Springs 20-1 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Jaguar considering their one-run performance the  contest before.
 South Cobb's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-8. As for New Manchester, their win  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-7.
 Everything went South Cobb's way against New Manchester when the teams last played  back in August as South Cobb made off with  a  14-6 victory. Will South Cobb repeat their success,  or does  New Manchester have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
