Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is John Paul II's 11th in Last 12 Outings

John Paul II won the last time they faced Bishop Lynch and things went their way on Tuesday too. John Paul II never let Bishop Lynch get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. Considering the Cardinals have won 11 matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Izzy Weber and Abby McGraw did most of the damage at the plate: Weber went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base, while McGraw scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases McGraw has posted since back in April of 2024. Reagan McGraw was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

John Paul II always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Lynch only posted an OBP of .182.

John Paul II has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. Bishop Lynch is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Paul II will welcome Dallas HSAA Red at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Lynch, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Ursuline Academy at 4:30 p.m.
