The Lewisburg Patriots waltzed into Tuesday's match with six straight wins but they left with seven. They blew past Southaven, posting a 66-29 win at home. Lewisburg might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 20 points or more this season.
Lewisburg had a senior duo take command as Allison Irby scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals and Allie Carroll dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Irby has scored at least 25% of Lewisburg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alicia Kautzky, who scored 11 points.
Lewisburg pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Southaven, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Lewisburg will square off against Wynne at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southaven will be home for the holidays to greet Olive Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
