The Northridge Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 45-36 to Johnstown-Monroe. Northridge has struggled against Johnstown-Monroe recently, as their game on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Northridge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ava Travis, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ruby Cermak, who scored five points along with two steals.
Northridge has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Johnstown-Monroe, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
Northridge will head out on the road to face off against Newark Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against East Knox at 7:15 p.m.
