Baseball Recap: Bushland Drops Highest Score of Season Against River Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bushland). They were the clear victors by a 34-2 margin over the River Road Wildcats on Friday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by seven runs or more this season.

Bushland got a massive performance out of Lincoln Krause, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave Krause a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Askins, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles.

Bushland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .712. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Bushland is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for River Road, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
