Reno is 9-1 against Reed since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Reno Huskies will be home for the holidays to greet the Reed Raiders at 5:15 p.m. Hopefully Reno focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact Reno proved. They came out on top against Carson by a score of 38-30. The victory was just what Reno needed coming off of a 52-17 defeat in their prior contest.
Reno can attribute much of their success to Kindle Rowe, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Yolanda Reyes, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Reed, who are still winless after their sixth contest. Their rough 53-32 loss to Damonte Ranch on Saturday might stick with them for a while. The match was a close 21-18 at the break, but unfortunately for Reed it sure didn't stay that way.
Reno now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Reed, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
Reno took their win against Reed in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 64-39. With Reno ahead 40-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
