Jaylen Johnson's Big Game Leads Thomas County Central over Northside
Starting off the list is Thomas County Central's Jaylen Johnson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Johnson threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Johnson and Thomas County Central will venture away from home to square off against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kromah Came Up Big in Lee County's 67-10 Win
Lee County picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ousmane Kromah. Kromah was dynamite, picking up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 74 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Veterans's probably not too fond of Kromah given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Kromah saw the Warhawks), he rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 54 receiving yards and a touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Rodney Dunbar Leads Thomas County Central over Northside
On Friday, Thomas County Central got the W thanks in part to Rodney Dunbar playing the best football he has all season. Dunbar picked up 103 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Dunbar and Thomas County Central will square off against Houston County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dunbar will face off against Isaiah Mitchell, the Bears' star wideout. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Weston Bryan and Co. Win Eighth in a Row
Lee County picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Weston Bryan. Nobody could stop Bryan as he threw for 276 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Veterans had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Bryan it was a similar story. When Bryan last faced the Warhawks back in October of 2023, he threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Canton Williams was instrumental in extending Lee County's winning streak to eight on Friday. Williams rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long.
For the year, Williams has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 57 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he had two rushing touchdowns.
