Lamar won the last time they faced Green Sea Floyds and things went their way on Friday too. The Silver Foxes breezed past the Trojans to the tune of 56-21. The Silver Foxes pushed the score to 49-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Trojans had little chance of recovering from.

Lamar had a senior duo take command as Zori Pierce threw for 144 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing and Nygel Eaddy rushed for 104 yards and one score on only 11 carries. Another player making a difference was Torin Carroway, who rushed for 65 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

Lamar was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 339 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

The win got Lamar back to even at 1-1. As for Green Sea Floyds, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will venture away from home to challenge Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Green Sea Floyds, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Mullins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
