Middle Tennessee Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took down the Ezell-Harding Christian Eagles 37-20. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Middle Tennessee Christian found their leader in sophomore Le'Marlo Nichols, who rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 80 yards and a pair of TDs on only five passes. The Cougars' leading receiver Malachi White was Nichols' top target yet again, picking up 74 receiving yards and two scores.
Middle Tennessee Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 275 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Middle Tennessee Christian has already played their next game, a 41-0 loss against Grace Christian Academy on the 29th. As for Ezell-Harding Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 36-8 win against Tennessee Heat on the 29th.
