Avery Bradley might have won a state title if he had stayed at Bellarmine Prep.
He'll have to settle for the slam dunk contest title at the McDonald's All-American game.
Bradley left the Tacoma school, where he was teamed with fellow All-American guard Abdul Gaddy, for Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nev., after helping the Lions to a third-place finish as a junior.

The Texas-signee defeated Mason Plumlee and Derrick Favors in the finals.
Bradley, whose family lives in Puyallup, had a perfect score through the first two rounds.
“I talked to my friends to find out what dunks I was going to do,” Bradley told MaxPreps senior writer Mitch Stephens, who covered the five-day event. “I made it and I knew those dunks were going to give me perfect scores.”
In the finals, he threw the ball off the backboard, caught it and did a windmill jam for the win.
Plumlee tried to top it by dunking three balls at once, but he couldn't pull it off.
“I didn’t know what to think, but if he would have made it, he would have won it,” Bradley said.
Bradley scored 15 points in 23 minutes on 6 of 10 shooting from the field for the West, which lost to the East teqam 111-110. He also had six rebounds and two steals.
Gaddy, a Washington recruit, scored six points for the West on 3 of 9 shooting. He also had four rebounds and two assists.
Franklin's Peyton Siva, a Louisville recruit, had six points, nine assists and three rebounds for the East.

Basketball: Hennig Leaves a Champion
Keith Hennig led the Kentwood Conquerors to a Class 4A state girls basketball championship last month.
He announced last week that he is stepping down to focus on his family. He has two sons under the age of four.
"It's been a privilege to coach these girls the last six years," Hennig told the Seattle Times. "This is one of the most difficult decisions (my wife) Wendy and I have ever had to make. We enjoy coaching so much. But at the same time, I think it's one of the best decisions we've ever made."
Hennig, 32, said he could return to coaching some day.
He was 136-25 at Kentwood, including this year's 28-1 team.
