Glen Allen is 8-2 against Deep Run since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Jaguars will welcome the Wildcats  at 7:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Glen Allen 3.6, Deep Run 3.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
On Thursday, Glen Allen didn't have quite enough to beat Hanover and fell  6-5. The  loss   continues a  trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost five in a row.
 Jaidyn Tillman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 14 Ks.
 At the plate,  Alison Via was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  RBI.
Deep Run never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against James River Midlothian on Monday. They were the clear victors by  a  14-6 margin over the Rapids. Considering the Wildcats have won seven games by more than seven  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Emily Plank was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   four  hits. Those  13  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Braelyn Baulsir and  Brooke Black did most of the damage at the plate:  Baulsir  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, four  runs,  and one  stolen base, while  Black  went 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  runs gave  Baulsir a new career-high.  Hope Tate was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  run.
 Deep Run's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Glen Allen, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
 Glen Allen took their  win against Deep Run  in their previous matchup  on May 2nd by a conclusive  7-0 score. Do  the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
