The Purvis Tornadoes have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 54-45 to Forrest County Agricultural on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Purvis has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Purvis lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacoby Robinson. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with two steals. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jace Gipson, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
Purvis' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Forrest County Agricultural, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-14.
Purvis will take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Forrest County Agricultural does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
