Heritage Christian Athletics's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They managed a 41-35 win over the Joshua Christian Knights. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Olivia Buchanan and Riley Hanks certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Buchanan posted seven points in addition to 15 boards and six blocks, while Hanks scored 18 points and eight rebounds. Buchanan is becoming a predictor of Joshua Christian's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 6-1 (and 0-3 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Joanna Ogdie, who had two points and eight boards.

Heritage Christian Athletics moved to 2-11 with that victory, which also ended their eight-game losing streak. As for Joshua Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Heritage Christian Athletics will challenge Texas Wind at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Joshua Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-16 win against Johnson County Sports Association on the 24th.
