Edgerton entered their tilt with Edon on Monday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Bombers. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Corinne Cape made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Casey Everetts, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Swank, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Edgerton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edon only posted a batting average of .174.

Edgerton's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Edon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.

Coming up, Edgerton will square off against Archbold at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edon, they will take on Lakewood Park Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bombers will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
