Walhalla has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Pendleton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Walhalla put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They blew past West-Oak 71-40 at home.
Kami Roach was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven steals and six assists. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Marnie Baxter, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Pendleton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Crescent as Pendleton made off with a 67-41 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Pendleton has managed all season.
Walhalla is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Pendleton, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-19.
Everything came up roses for Walhalla against the Bulldogs in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 75-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walhalla since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
