After a string of three wins, Center Place's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Overland Christian. Center Place was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Overland Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, Center Place saw an underclassman step up: Carly Hamilton scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals. Hamilton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.
Center Place's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Overland Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center Place won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Clinton Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Overland Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
