The D'Evelyn Jaguars won the last time they faced the Wheat Ridge Farmers, and things went their way on Friday too. D'Evelyn walked away with a 49-39 victory over Wheat Ridge. The victory made it back-to-back wins for D'Evelyn.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead D'Evelyn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Taj Kumar, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Robelle Abai, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
D'Evelyn has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Wheat Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. D'Evelyn will take on Conifer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Conifer is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Wheat Ridge, they will be playing at home against Golden at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Golden focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
