Quincy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,711 from 13,938. The advance stemmed from a 49-6 victory over the Trojans last week.
Quincy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Matt Beeson threw for 162 yards and Jerry Oglesby had 72 yards receiving. On the ground Keston Pilgrim chipped in 60 yards. Pilgrim helped Quincy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 62 yards.
A big matchup in Mid-Valley this week will be when East Nicolaus takes on Colusa. The Spartans are in first place, while the RedHawks are in third place.
