The Sidney Team can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Wednesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 61-24 victory over Walton. That's another feather in the cap for Sidney, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Olivia Bartlett and Kennedy Williams certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Bartlett scored four points along with six rebounds, while Williams scored no points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bartlett has scored all season.
The win got Sidney back to even at 1-1. As for Walton, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sidney will take on Unatego at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Unatego has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three contests. As for Walton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Deposit-Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Deposit-Hancock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 499th, while Walton is ranked 247th).
