The Hunters Lane Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Mount Juliet Christian Academy Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hunters Lane has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Hunters Lane came up short against LaVergne on Friday, falling 15-6. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ridha Alghatas put in work no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Justin Cordoba Sosa made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Hayden Brown, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Mount Juliet Christian Academy made easy work of Antioch on Friday and carried off an 11-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.
Cole Launsby looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jonah Kleinmann, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of George Dayton, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Mount Juliet Christian Academy's record is now 3-4. As for Hunters Lane, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Hunters Lane has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .545. However, it's not like Mount Juliet Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .465.
