A Season-Best Performance from Carter Triplett Leads Christian Heritage over Chattooga
Christian Heritage was led to victory by Carter Triplett, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Triplett rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also threw for 183 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes.
Triplett and Christian Heritage will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fannin County at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th. Zayden Cook's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his ninth-straight game with 158+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Chattooga's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3. Cook and Chattooga will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Dade County at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
