After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Medford Tech, the Pemberton Hornets were happy to have found some success on Friday. They skirted past Westampton Tech 41-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pemberton also won the last time the pair played on January 5th.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexander Jeanty, who scored eight points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Njoga, who scored eight points along with seven blocks.
Pemberton's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Westampton Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
Pemberton will look to defend their home court on Monday against Holy Cross at 5:15 p.m. Holy Cross is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Westampton Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Winslow Township at 10:00 a.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Winslow Township is ranked 263rd, while Westampton Tech is ranked 255th).
