After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Collinsville, The Cahokia Comanches were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 12-7 W over O'Fallon. This was payback for Cahokia, who suffered a 49-20 loss the last time these two teams met.
Jramuel Holman was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 130 yards.
The team's defense also helped out by holding O'Fallon to a paltry 205 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Cahokia's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out four times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Cornelius Griffin and his two sacks.
Despite the loss, O'Fallon still got an impressive performance from Jahkori Adams, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Cahokia has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for O'Fallon, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Cahokia will head out on the road to face off against Breese Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Breese Central will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. O'Fallon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
