That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Mikaila Warfield was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Shyanne Sellers was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Mark Morris was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Mark Morris pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hudson's Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
