The Lynn Bears will venture away from home to  challenge the Vina Red Devils  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Lynn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2  runs per game  this season.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Bears  on Tuesday. Everything went Lynn's way against Phillips as Lynn made off with  an  18-5 victory. Lynn's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 Kaylee Wiginton looked comfortable as she  struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   six  hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Amy Barton and  Molly Pate did most of the damage at the plate:  Barton  went 2-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI, while  Pate  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. Pate has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Alyssa McKinney was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base.
Meanwhile, Vina was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight  defeat. They took  a  7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brilliant.
  Braxtyn Quinn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  double. That  stolen base was  her first of the season.
 Lynn's record is now 7-4-1. As for Vina, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.
 Thursday's   matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lynn hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .337. However, it's not like Vina struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .366. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
